Terms of service
What you can expect from FuelOfAI, and what we expect from you. Written to be read, not to be survived.
Last updated: 27 July 2026
1. Who we are, and what this service is
FuelOfAI ("we", "us") operates an API gateway that routes your requests to third-party large language model providers using our own paid accounts with those providers, meters your usage, and bills it against a prepaid credit balance.
We are an independent API aggregator. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google, and we do not act as their agent. All trademarks belong to their owners. Model behaviour, capability and output quality are determined by the model vendor, not by us.
By creating an account or sending a request to our API you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. Accounts and API keys
You must give accurate registration details and keep your credentials secure. API keys are shown once at creation and stored only as a hash, so we cannot recover one for you — rotate it instead.
You are responsible for all activity carried out with your keys, including usage and charges arising from a key you leaked or shared. Tell us promptly at support@fuelofai.com if you believe a key has been compromised, and revoke it from your dashboard.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to hold an account.
3. Credits, metering and payment
Access is prepaid. One credit is denominated as one US dollar of the model vendor's published list-price usage. Credits are sold in packs at a discount to that value, so the price you pay per credit is lower than the usage value a credit carries.
Usage is metered per token at the per-model rate published on our pricing and models pages. Cost is computed at full precision and rounded up to the nearest 0.000001 credit. Streaming requests place a temporary hold for the maximum possible cost and settle to the actual amount once the stream ends; a stream you cancel is billed only for tokens delivered.
We meter the tokens in your own payload. Where an upstream channel adds overhead of its own, that overhead is our cost, not yours.
Your balance cannot go negative: a request that your available balance cannot cover is refused before it is sent upstream. Credits do not expire. Prices and rates may change prospectively; credits already purchased keep their credit value.
Token packs are the exception to non-expiry, and it is stated on the pack before purchase: a pack carries a validity window that starts when payment confirms, and at expiry a stated share of any unused balance converts to permanent credits while the remainder is forfeited. Where you hold both, we spend the soonest-expiring pack before your permanent credits. A pack may also be limited to particular models, in which case that limit is shown before purchase and recorded against the pack you bought.
Refunds are governed by our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
4. Free trial
New accounts may receive a free allowance of 10 requests or 1,000,000 tokens, whichever is exhausted first. The allowance is per person, not per account; creating additional accounts to obtain more trial usage is a breach of these terms. Trial allowances have no cash value and are not refundable.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- break any applicable law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- generate child sexual abuse material, content that sexualises minors, or content that facilitates violence, terrorism, or the creation of weapons;
- attack, probe or interfere with our infrastructure or another customer's use of it, including attempts to circumvent rate limits, quotas or billing;
- resell, sublicense or expose raw gateway access to third parties as an interchangeable substitute for their own account, without a written agreement with us;
- submit personal data you have no lawful basis to process, or regulated data (for example health or payment card data) without agreeing appropriate terms with us first;
- breach the acceptable-use policy of the underlying model vendor whose model you select.
We may suspend a key or an account immediately where we reasonably believe this clause has been breached, or where an upstream provider requires it. Where we suspend for suspected abuse we will tell you why, and unused credits remain refundable under the refund policy unless the abuse was fraudulent.
6. Availability, routing and limits
Each model is served by an ordered list of upstream channels; a failure on one moves your request to the next automatically. We publish measured availability on our status page.
We do not offer an uptime service level agreement and we make no uptime commitment. The service is provided on a commercially reasonable-efforts basis, and it depends on third-party providers whose availability we do not control. We may apply rate limits, quotas and per-request caps, and we may change them to protect the service.
We may add, change or withdraw models. A model is only published once we have verified it on a live channel, and a model may be withdrawn if an upstream channel stops serving it.
7. Your content and ours
You keep all rights in the prompts you send and, as between you and us, in the completions you receive. You grant us only the licence necessary to transmit your request to the selected upstream provider, return the response, and store it as described in our privacy policy. We do not use your prompts or completions to train models.
We keep all rights in the gateway, the dashboard, our documentation and our trademarks. Nothing here transfers them to you.
Model output is generated text. It can be wrong, biased or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing it before you rely on it, and for any decision you take on the back of it.
8. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy of output, and uninterrupted availability.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the exclusion applies only as far as local law permits.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time; unused credits are handled under the refund policy. We may terminate or suspend your access for a material breach of these terms, for non-payment, or if continuing to serve you would put our upstream accounts at risk. Where circumstances allow, we will give notice and a chance to fix the problem first.
On termination your keys stop working immediately. Data is deleted or anonymised on the retention schedule in the privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site and, where we hold your address, by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. The version in force is always the one published here, with the date shown at the top of this page.
11. Contact and governing law
Questions, notices and complaints: support@fuelofai.com.
These terms are governed by the law of the operator's place of establishment, and the courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence.
